About the Scheme
CGTMSE (Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises) is a Government-backed credit guarantee scheme designed to help Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) obtain business loans from eligible banks and lending institutions without requiring traditional collateral or third-party guarantees, subject to the lender’s approval and scheme rules. To facilitate Small Enterprises- MSEs (Manufacturing as well as service units)to avail finance without providing or by providing partial collateral securities.

Waiver of Scheme
- Waiver of CGTMSE Cover for loan limits above Rs.10 Lakhs upto Rs. 200 Lakhs by accepting securities (Land and Building) of 75% of the loan limit.

CGTMSE Scheme – Eligibility
To obtain a loan with CGTMSE guarantee coverage, the applicant and proposed credit facility must meet the applicable CGTMSE and lender requirements.
01. Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) engaged in eligible manufacturing or service activities. |

04. The business must meet the applicable MSME/MSE classification criteria. |
05. The applicant must obtain credit from a CGTMSE-eligible Member Lending Institution (MLI) such as a participating bank or financial institution. |
06. The business and loan must satisfy the credit, documentation and other requirements of the lender. |
07. The proposed credit facility must fall within the types and limits eligible for CGTMSE guarantee coverage under the prevailing guidelines. |
