The Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme (UYEGP) is a flagship sheme introdeuced by the Micro, Small, and Medeium enterprises Department of Government of Tamil Nadu. TheUYEGP loan scheme provides an opportunity for unemployed individuals to become entrepreneurs, start their own business and create sustainable sources of income with financial support from the Government and banking institutions.

Under the UYEGP Scheme applicant must generally be aged 18-45 years, while eligible category applicant can receive age relaxation up to 55 years.

• Applicant should have passed at least 8th Standard and have an annual family income below ₹8 lakh.
  
  
• The Scheme supports Trading and Business projects up to ₹15 lakh, with a 10% Promoter contribution for General Category and 5% for Special Catefgories.
  
  
• Loan assistance is provided through Commercial Banks, along with a 25% Government Capital Subsidy on the project cost.
  
  
• Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme is a Tamil Nadu Government Scheme disigned to help unemployed youth start their own small business, service or manufacturing enterprise.

Application Process of UYEGP Scheme

• Click Apply Online → New Application
  
  
• Register using your:
  • Name
  • Aadhaar
  • Mobile Number
  • Email
    
    
• Fill the complete application form
  
  
• Upload all documents
  
  
• Submit your application

After Applying

• DIC verifies your application
  
  
• You receive an interview call letter
  
  
• DIC recommends your loan to the bank
  
  
• Attend EDP training
  
  
• Submit EDP certificate + required documents to the bank
  
  
• Bank sanctions and disburses the loan
  
  
• Subsidy is kept as TDR for 3 years
  
  
• After 3 years, subsidy is credited to your loan account
