About the Scheme
- The New Entrepreneur-cum-Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS) is a Government of Tamil Nadu initivative to encouraging to educated first generation entrepreneur to establish their own business.
- The scheme provides for the applicable candidate to start our New enterprises in the manufacturing and service sector.
- The Scheme can receive a eligible candidate receive a capital subsidy of 25% of the project cost, up to ₹75 lakhs along with 3% interest subvention during the repayment period.
- The scheme also provides eligible candidate Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) training.

Eligibility
| Degree / Diploma / ITI / Vocational / Training from a recognized instituion |
| For General Category from 21 to 35 years maximum for special category women, Transgender, SC/ST, BC, MBC, Ex-servicemen and Physically Challenged enhanced 45 Years. |
| No income family ceiling |
| The Applicant should be a resident of Tamil Nadu State not less then 3 years. |
| For manufacturing, Services sector enterprises, the project cost between Rs. 5 lakhs to Rs. 1 crore. |
