About the Scheme
The e-shram card was Government of India initiative under the ministry of Labour & Employment, Created to build a centralized database of unorganised workers in India. The scheme covers workers such as construction workers, migrant workers, street vendors, domestic workers, agricultural workers, gig/platform workers and other unrecognized sector workers. Eligible workers aged 16-59 years can register on the e-shram portal and receive a Universal Account Number (UAN).

Benefits of e-shram Card

E-shram Card Apply Process
- Go to the e-shram card portal self registration process.
- Input the Aadhaar linked mobile number and enter the captcha code, and send “OTP”.
- Receive the OTP on the register mobile number, And enter click validation.
- Confirm the personal details present on the screen.
- Provide necessary information, including Address and Education Qualification.
- Choose the skill name, specific nature of the business and type
- Enter the bank details and select self declaration
- Click ‘Preview’ and check the all details
- Receive another OTP, enter it and click ‘verify’
- The e-shram card is generated and displayed on the screen
- Download the e-Shram card.
How to Download e-Shram card

- First you go to the e-shram card portal.
- Click ‘Already Registered’ tab and choose the option ‘Download/update card’.
- Provide the Data of birth, UAN Number, and Captcha code, and ‘click generate OTP’
- Confirm the displayed information.
- Click on Preview to review the inter the details and click supply
- Review another OTP, enter it, and “Verify”
- The e-shram card will generated and show on the screen
- At this time you will receive your e-shram card clicking in the download option
Conclusion
The e-Shram Card is an important initiative of the Government of India to bring workers from the unorganised sector into a national database and improve their access to social-security and welfare schemes.
