Is Your Business Eligible For Startup India Recognition
To obtain DPIIT Startup Recognition under Startup India, a business must satisfy certain conditions related to its age, legal structure, turnover and business activities.
1. Age of the Business | The startup should generally be within 10 years from the date of incorporation or registration. |

Application Process of Startup India
- Step 1: Create an Account – Visit the Startup India platform and proceed to the National Single Window System (NSWS) for the recognition application.
- Step 2: Register on NSWS – Create an account on the NSWS portal using the startup’s details.
- Step 3: Select Startup Registration – After logging in, go to “Add Approvals” → “Central Approvals” and select “Registration as a Startup.”
- Step 4: Enter Business Details – Provide the required information about the entity, incorporation, business activities and other details requested in the application.
